I've been doing this lately.  Writing a page-long (or longer) post, deciding it's not what I wanted, and deleting it.

So, I'm gonna try again.  My job might be ending.  Some people are saying it's probably going to end, others say that there's a 90% we'll continue with the contract.  I, being the pro-active guy that I am, have begun "the hunt."

I almost got tears in my eyes reading your post. Okay, not really, but I am SO proud that you say that about unemployment. You're right, you do deserve it seeing as that you've paid taxes on every Alaskan job you've ever had, but still - you're otherwise able to have a job and don't need to depend on a fund originally intended for people in emergency situations. That shit PISSES ME OFF - I know so many people who work for a season, such as summer, and then draw unemployment all winter so they can snowmachine. Just random examples like that. I have a friend like that who offers to "get my lunch" when we meet up - no thanks, that's kind of like sticking it to myself don't you think? Ahh, I'll stop. That's my soapbox!

What about a Military spouse who draws unemployment when he/she get's PCS'ed? What are your thoughts on that? good/noo good? Just curious.

I know i totally could draw unemployment but i know i would just feel like a total fag if i got it. And we all know that you like your job because you dont actually do much of anything and get paid well for it! haha. -JMM
