Our teacher's aide for "Research and Writing" sent us this small guide for some grammar rules. It is EXCELLENT. Trust me. It's just 6 pages long and it helps you avoid three of the most common grammar mistakes in the English (and in Spanish as well).

I had to stop reading it midway through because I'm at school.

Also, since this is a Grammar post, I feel compelled to point out that "in the English" should either be "in the English language" or "in English".
