As I jaunted along I wondered exactly why I appreciate the Rach II so much. I honestly believe that it's because it was the first classical song that wasn't exceedingly well-known that I heard enough of to be familiar with it. I live for those "fantasies" right now and it makes things wonderful, although I can't say I always have lived for them. However it sure as hell makes life a lot more interesting.

And this discovery of your true reason for appreciating the Rach II immensely makes it very hard for me to argue with you its true inferiority to the third-- I have my own reasons damn you! stay away...

i'm not quite sure, dear Anna, what 'transcend' means here, or what exactly would be transcending.

It seems like a position that people wouldn't want to hold, but I'm coming to appreciate the fact that looking outside of my castle walls i'll only cause problems for myself (in desires that would never be satisfied), and so the position is not unlike a religious renunciation of the present world. Maybe not completely...
