To bring you up to date I'm attaching extracts from an account of Jan's problems that I sent to our overseas progeny:

Thanks, Anne! If you see Jack and Jan, please pass on best wishes from Olive and me. It sounds like Jan is stabilizing. I hope she perks up after some well-earned rest!

Just letting you know that I am home and very perky. Steadfastly doing what I was told to and taking things very lightly. All in all it was over very quickly - it is now late Wednesday our time and I've been really good only reading, a little knitting and this effort to catch up with LJ. That is not strenuous is it?
