Mom Vs. the T.V.

I removed the television from my bedroom today. My mom threw a minor tempertantrum when she arrived home and realized what I had done. She claimed that if I leave the T.V. unplugged for long enough, when it is plugged back in, it will explode. She is so screwed up. I don't know how she could possibly be my biological mother

Moms are crazy. Was it one of those wooden box TVs that didn't need to "breathe"? She must have a huge phobia of TVs...maybe your Dad had a fit with her and now she's overly cautious? Plugging it back in will make it explode, sheeeyahhh!

Why when parents learn something that they don't believe or like do they block it out and play dumb again the next time they hear about it?
