Understandable rant too. Christmas gets closer and closer every year according to sales people after your hard-earned dosh.

I mean, when I was as a kid you had Christmas decorations out in shops for about 6 weeks at most before Christmas and the sales didn't start until almost the new year. Now Christmas is in your face from October and sales start on the 27th, if not the 26th! It's been flogged to death, goes on too long and to me, has removed some of the special "it's only here for a short while" feeling. Maybe I'm just a scrooge but I just don't like it (blatent commercialism of it I mean, not CHristmas!) :(
