Joffrey in German?

Backpfeiffengesicht: "a face that is crying out to have a fist in it"

(Poor Jack Gleeson. Other actors get random fans walking up and repeating iconic lines, or making some gesture. He may be doomed to a life where people come up and randomly slap him, as hard as they can.)

hbo, game of thrones, jack gleeson, agot, silly

Hahaha. Now how do you pronounce that?

They would spit and his food, too, probably.

Unfortunately I don't know. I'm about to leave my computer again, but I'm going to check on forvo.com later, to see if it's up there.

The compound words are back, pfeiffen (like Michelle Pfeiffer) and gesicht. Gesicht is face. Confused what pfeiffen is. beats? I see it in reference to dubstep.

That's what it sounds like! I was listening to some of the commentary on the S1 discs, and Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, and Isaac Hemstead-Wright all talk about how great he is. Sophie does rip on his accent a bit, though, and tries to be all NornIrish.

He is soooo good in that role.

If he doesn't get type cast as villians for life, it will be a miracle. However, I think he could also grow into those roles where the lead gets beaten to a pulp before his eventual victory (sort of like Chris Pine, who has been beaten to a pulp in every movie of his I've seen).

One of the blokes at work who I have managed to convert (among about a dozen of my colleagues) said this in casual conversation the other day:

"The plaintiff's lawyer is an utter Joffrey."

It is funny that you should mention this, because in addition to Regina's comment, I read on another blog that Jack really does go underappreciated, because he clearly is doing his job very well indeed if so many people want to inflict harm upon him. The man is doing his job as an actor, but the character is so hated, that his ability to do what he is supposed to do gets overlooked.
