University 2.0

I think the starting point for this would simply be getting some kind of credit for the much, much, much extra-(University-1.0)-curricular reading that people do.

The personal feedback can wait, though it is a great goal.

In the meantime, the model for 'credit' should probably involve some decent proof that the student has taken in what material they have landed on and added to their transcript. One model for this could be how things work for University 1.0 students who skip class and do just fine in grades: Just have real testing. Of course, this would require resources that a start-up concept like this would not have at first, so the next best thing might be online tests based on University 2.0 materials---served up after the student clicks a "Ready" or "Add to transcript" button. These tests could be put together by other students, or they could be automatically generated (think fill-in-the-blank).

By the way, categorization of articles could be automated at well, using keywords.
