Been working on Big Stuff which has become Small Stuff, as I was hoping it would. But sometimes the little stuff is the hardest, right? I have a big post about it all stewing, but in the meantime, I figured I'd jump on the meme-wagon currently making the rounds:

I remember a time when we were talking about a crazy dream you had and various emotional stuff and you had a huge breakthrough, like a lightning bolt, and I was really happy I'd been able to help even though I am still not entirely sure what I did. That was only a couple weeks ago though, so an even better one is the day after your wedding, when my flight had to leave at ass o'clock, we all stayed up and got drunk on Gewurtstraminer, and I ended up with a migraine on the flight, and it was so worth it. That weekend was a blast.

I'm remembering when we were on tour with Metalapocalypso (The Heavy Metal Calypso band from the end of time) and Spiders of the Purple Mage - when was it? Some time in 2258? You had just picked up one of the new Gibson Dimensional Explorer guitars - the ones that open the portals and project multiple realities right there on stage. You were still getting used to it, but had created an awesome background while you were taking your turn on rhythm riffs - and then right in the middle of my lead you overdrove the system just a little too much, and I got sucked into a pocket universe. Man, it took us months before you helped me find my way back.

Uh-oh... wait a minute... Which direction does entropy flow?
Gee, Wally - I think I've come unstuck in time...

I remember meeting you in biology class our freshman year of high school, and bonding over our shared hatred of the way the teacher said "nu-cu-lus" And then you showed me my first darwin fish, and my mind was blown!

OK - after being silly in your LJ, I owe you a real answer, too.

When I think of you, I often think of your cheery eyes and smile. It's kind of like a doggy (in a good way). You have serious, contemplative expressions, expressions of being hurt or disappointed, and all sorts of other expressions. But it's like your default expression is one of bright, cheery enthusiasm - or like you can get hurt, but you keep returning to an open, loving place where you'd be confused if someone did something mean - why would they do that?. (A trait I sometimes associate with dogs, also in a good way, so it's a compliment).
