I used to believe what you did, though in my professional life. I did one conference talk in 2007, did another in 2009, and then started trusting myself: 4 talks last year, a keynote address last week, two more talks and a day-long class coming in June...
It's just a matter of taking that first step. I can't think of a more accepting crowd than the folks at p-con; it sounds like a perfect first step.

Learning to "blend" and redirect in Aikido sense has been exceptionally useful beyond the physical: it helps in dealing with confused clients, upset people on-line, meeting fears, etc. What would it be like if more people learned to meet others, see their point of view while remaining centered, and then acting from that centered awareness? It sounds like a perfect sort of physical, applied magic.
Is that something people would be interested in hearing about? It's something this particular people would be interested in hearing about, whether that's you at P-con, you in someone's living room, or me getting to Santa Cruz Aikido and then comparing notes with you and your view of how it all relates to other things we have in common.
That sounds AWESOME. So much if what I see at PCon is about finding ways Of keeping yourself safe and healthy- I imagine that there is a LOT about Aikido that can speak to this!
