UNDER HEAVY CONSTRUCTION.

PAST INCARNATIONS
Aladdin's mother spent her first few generations in China, but then started popping up elsewhere when it became apparent that the China of her tale was nothing like the real China. Almost always female, Aladdin's mother has rarely strayed outside of Eurasia in her reincarnations, and even then only into the Maghreb, and that was just the once. It turned out the Maghreb wasn't such a great place for her, considering the magician that originally tricked her hailed from the Maghreb. Aladdin's mother found herself stoned for no reason. Most of her lives have been similarly tragic. In fact, the only incarnation that Riva consciously remembers died in Auschwitz (only to be reborn on the Pakistani side of the Indian independence movement). Riva takes consolation in knowing that she's not the first Mother to end up Jewish. Memories of her life in the concentration camp have actually popped up before, although she didn't know what they were until recently.

STORYLINES
The Challah - Rich, warm, homey, and delicious. The Challah is someone who stands out to Riva for making her feel comfortable, even in the face of a whole new world that confuses and astounds her. She feels at home with this person. (Close to her age, probably also Jewish.)
The Sufganiyah - Fried and sugary, and often filled with custard. The Sufganiyah is sweet, and Riva loves sweetness, but she knows he's bad for her. She likes this person, but she can only stand him in small doses. (Preferably male, as sufganiyot is kind of sexual, when you think about it.)
The Latke - Hearty, savory, and homey like challah, but fried like sufganiyah. The Latke is more more low-key than either and takes less time to cook. Riva has met the Latke only recently, but she feels like they've hit it off right away. Sure, her motherly instincts might kick in when the Latke misbehaves, but part of friendship is in taking care of each other, right? (Nico Mads/Rikki Tikki Tavi, ticktocktavi)
The Cream Cheese Bagel - Popular and well-liked, The Cream Cheese Bagel is someone that Riva can't help but get along with. (PIG 1)
The Lox - A little bit salty and acerbic. Not quite as nice and universal as the Cream Cheese Bagel, but Riva likes him/her anyway. (PIG 2)
The Sesame Bagel - (PIG 3)
The Matzah - Riva finds this person plain, boring, and flat, which is quite a feat in the Tale world. She only puts up with him or her because of convenience or because she has to.
The Noodle Kugel - Can be savory or sweet. Sometimes, Riva wonders why he or she can't make up his or her mind, and she often finds herself wondering if the Noodle Kugel really likes her or not. She feels blessed to have him or her around regardless. (Chelsea LAST NAME/The Young Cook - createdsushi
The Gefilte Fish - The Gefilte Fish isn't someone that Riva would normally associate with, but she likes him or her anyway. She isn't sure why, and the Gefilte Fish confuses her sometimes. She doesn't really mind. (Rick Jones/The King [The Six Swans], agoldenchain)
The Bacon - This person repulses Riva. She finds all of his or her habits disgusting.
The Shrimp Scampi - Riva finds this person extremely irritating. She wishes they would just scamper off.
The Cream of Chicken Soup - Riva doesn't like this person for a fairly traditional and silly reason. (Fatima WaHhab/Lady Mary - ladybold)
