Hospitals Suck

So here I lay...waiting to see what test they're gonna run on me next. I've had bad headaches since Thanksgiving, and over the past couple of weeks, they've become debilitating. They've run a CT Scan and several MRIs, but can't find anything that would be causing it. I've never had a migraine, and it's not a sinus infection. They're talking ( Read more... )

Oh my! I just now found this, dear heart! I'm so sorry to hear it!

I had the same kinda thing happen to me almost two years ago, and they ran NO tests at all. They simply decided, after some discussion, that it was probably me going fully into the late part of peri-menopausal stuff (i'd missed my first period around the same time the headaches started), so they put me on meds for migraines.

Yeah, great idea, right? Menopausal, so put her on migraine meds? Huh?

But hey, it WORKED! Not only that, but it took away my appetite and i lost all the weight that hit me when the cfids first took hold. WIN! I'm still on the meds, tho the dose fluxuates, since it does seem to be a hormonal issue.

I only say all this because who knows? This could be you! I will be praying, my dear! I love you so!! *mwah*

heh...yeah...they're gonna do some kind of lumbar test tomorrow.

frustrating, but slightly better than being treated for something that you don't have, that they just decide is right... I like honest doctors who say "we don't know" if they haven't figured it out yet.
But, that said, I hope they do work it out, and get rid of the pain. Keep us posted when you know anything.
