I'm totally nuts . . . but what you do guys think?
I'm kicking around an idea for a TVD AU story. Here are the bare bones of what I'm thinking:
The Originals:
Chariklo (Caroline)
Berenike (Bonnie)
Eleni (Elena)
Vasiliki (Vicki)
Ieremias (Jeremy)
Maththias (Matt)
Tychon (Tyler)
Sibylla (Sheila-the Original Witch)
The Founding Families:
The Lockwoods
• Mayor Richard Lockwood, his wife Carol, and their son Greg
The Fells
• Absentee parents, Anthony and Rita Fell
• Logan Fell, eldest, local news reporter
• Blair Fell, university student, anthropology at Duke University
• Tina Fell, junior at high school, party girl with a suspended license and twenty something hours of community service still pending.
The Gilberts
• Doctor Grayson Gilbert and wife Miranda, deceased.
• Charlotte Gilbert, eldest, junior at high school, captain of cheerleading squad, student body president, and champion at mean girl games.
• Margaret Gilbert, youngest, 13 years old, best friends with Sue Forbes, and at complete odds with her popular, pretty sister.
The Salvatores
• Zach Salvatore, bachelor, moved abruptly to the Caribbean for no good reason just before Halloween.
• His ‘nephew’ Damon Salvatore, owner of the Salvatore Boarding House and ‘legal guardian’ of younger brother (totally a vampire).
• Stefan, the other ‘nephew’, nearly arrived at the beginning of the school, a junior in the same class as Charlotte (also, totally a vampire).
. . . and The Forbes-
• Michael, the patriarch, and town sheriff
• Esther, the matriarch with a secret, who abandoned her family when her youngest was only ten years old (for reasons unknown to her children)
• Elijah, the eldest-university student, pre-law
• Nicholas (Nick), the second eldest, a senior at high school, quarterback of the football team, brash and somewhat foolhardy.
• Rebecca, the third eldest, a junior at high school, cheerleader struggling with some changes that she doesn’t quite understand
• Henrik (Rick), the fourth eldest, a freshman at high school, still struggling with his mother’s absence and his father’s authoritarian parenting style-falling into drug use and lagging behind in school.
• Suzanne (Sue), the youngest, 13 years old, knows more about the changes that her sister is going through than she will admit (plenty of secrets of her own).
The Other Players:
Jenna Sommers, legal guardian of Charlotte and Margaret Gilbert, Miranda Gilbert’s younger sister.
Meredith Sulez, best friends with Rebecca and Charlotte, secretly dating Greg Lockwood because he fears his parents’ disapproval.
Alaric Saltzman, new history teacher, replacing Mr. Tanner who died in a freak animal attack in the middle of the school parking lot.
Isobel Saltzman, Alaric’s missing wife and Charlotte’s birth mother.
Katherine Pierce, a mysterious woman from Stefan and Damon’s past (the reason why they’re both totally vampires).
Mary Bennett, Rick’s best friend and descendant of Emily Bennett, Katherine’s handmaid.
Sean Bennett, Mary’s older brother and Charlotte’s ex-boyfriend, also on the football team with Nick, Greg, and (eventually) Stefan.
It's going to be a long one, if I get on it, and will likely not get finished for months (Still have 30 days of Caroline and my asoiaf Big Bang to consider). But what do you guys think?
