It's a teaser for the TVD AU I wrote about two entries back. I'm hashing out the storyline, and scenes keep popping into my head, so I've decided to write teasers as they come.

PLEASE TELL ME YOU ARE STILL GOING FORTH WITH THIS! I love the idea of plain old Matt as an Original vampire, it's making me giggle so much, I can't even. I hereby dub these snippets you're giving us as UNDERRATED CHARACTERS APPRECIATION POST.

And unf I can't leave a coherent review right now, all the squealing going on inside my head. This is beautiful, and I think when you do actually post this story up I might just cry.

It's stewing away, and I've been thinking/planning it for a while. I had lots of other obligations that I wanted to finish first, like ASOIAF big bang and 30 days of Caroline. But now that one half of that is finished, I'll definitely be revisiting it soon.

Yay! Because I love how Elena's depicted as the cutthroat HBIC. It's a little confusing at times but I caught on. Also, aree the Originals new in town?

I'm basically going with the same premise, that there's a doppelganger spell and there's a curse that needs to be broken. But I'm rearranging some stuff (characters) and changing a lot of stuff from canon that made me roll my eyes in exasperation.

This scene is supposed to run parallel to the Rebekah and Caroline scene in 3.05 "The Reckoning". A couple posts before this one has a list of all the swapped characters.
