Elia Martell will forever break my heart (and not just for her tragic end), so you can imagine how thrilled I am that you decided to delve more deeply with this fic because everything about it is just FLAWLESS.
Love your characterization of her--how her illness can get the best of her, but how she's still not void of that little spark (particularly LOVED her scene with little Cersei); and her relationship with her mother (THE LADY OF DORNE IS AS FAB AS IS BEFITTING A DORNISH LADY, TAKE THAT TYWIN), and particularly her relationship with Oberyn (whose characterization is also PERFECTION).
My heart actually filled with dread when Rhaegar placed that wreath in Elia's lap because we all know what's to come and JUST NO D:
I shall head for bed now, but I look forward to reading the rest tomorrow, AWESOME job bb!! :D<333

Well, since in canon all Dornish women are the best things on two legs, I figured the little developed Lady had to be as well.
I'm glad you're enjoying this! 'Twas a labour of love, that I often feared wouldn't get finished (as it was, it was finally finished two days before posting!!!!).
I didn't think it was possible, but you just made me love Elia even more than I already did (and she's already in my top 3 of characters despite never actually having appeared).
You've even almost made me like Rhaegar, before it was clear he knew he was supposed to marry her :/ I mean I don't hate him, he's being forced into a marriage too, but I still can't get over Harrenhal. *sigh*
“Really, Mother? If you insist on taking up lion-baiting, can’t you find anyone else to be your bait? Why dangle Elia in front of them? Oh dear, foreshadowing...it breaks my heart.

Or at least pitched a fit and moved back to my mom's house.
(Eena's bloodlust is also sadly lacking)
I'm glad you're digging this so far.
