This was a big mess. I watched as Riley walked away from me, with his dead wife in his arms. I heard demons in the background. When I turned, I noticed that Buffy and Spike were taking care of them. Even if I did want to join in, I couldn't leave Riley in the condition he was in.
He was very unresponsive. It was like he was stuck in a zone. He didn't let me know where he was going, and he didn't bother asking me to carry his friend.
I felt so bad for him. Just the look in his eyes, made me want to cry for him. I didn't want to bother him, so I took it upon myself to grab his dead friend, and put his arm around my shoulder, taking him with me. Deep down, I knew he didn't want to just leave him out here. I didn't know where Riley was going, but I knew I had to follow him, and make sure nothing happens to him. If he doesn't want to talk, fine. But, I'm not letting any demon, or person lay a finger on him.
No destination immediately called my name and that was fine. I couldn't put a coherent thought together and nothing would ever be the same, so when my arms could no longer carry Sam, then I would know my destination

A dead body was way heavier than I thought. I continued to follow, Riley. He turned the corner before I did. He was definitely oblivious to his surroundings. I heard all the screams and chaos coming from innocent bystanders. I wanted to help, but I couldn't. What could I do for them? I needed help, too. We were all in the same position

I continued to perform CPR on Sam, three breaths in with the neck tilted slightly back and my hand supporting her neck, with a slight arch, and then set her down gently to the floor and gave five thrusts with my right palm to her breastplate, my left hand folded over my right.
I repeated the process four times when I heard a creaking on the stairs and then outright footsteps. I didn't know whether or not I should draw my revolver and fire, or if this was somebody that lived in the apartment. I didn't have any coherency of thought and tears clouded my eyes. As I wiped them away, I noticed that it was Melissa.
"I-I'm sorry. I'll be out here in the living room. I brought Graham with..."
I glared at her for her to leave, but I didn't really know if I wanted her to leave. I didn't really know much of anything right now.
"I'll just be out here. Take your time."My eyes followed her as she descended the stairs and I felt bad, but I still felt resolve about trying to bring Sam back. I looked down at her. Her lips had a pale blue-whitish
