Today, I began my volunteer odyssey with the Anti-Cruelty Society, helping people choose which cats to adopt.

Today was also Fluffster's first day on the adoption floor.

I call it kismet.

I think your volunteering there is the coolest thing ever! It's tied with the other coolest thing ever (that being - you're in one of my favourite bands ever) ^_^

I know someone in a crappy situation (not me) who needs to find homes for 2 good cats. Could the ACS help?

They could surrender them, yes. Thing is, when you surrender to ACS, they -may- euthanize (if the cats are sick with anything incurable, or have behavior problems). They can also surrender them to other shelters like PAWS or Treehouse.

If said person might be able to get back on his or her feet after a little while and would want the cats back, he or she should consider finding a friend who's willing to foster them.
