BRAVO
I think you definitely needed yesterday to think things through and I believe you have made a very wise decision.

Plus it'll be a hell of a lot easier for me to help you move to Philly or NYC then SF.

I'm sorry I wasn't of more help to you on this whole thing... I feel as though I threw my goddess title out the window for a few minutes. I'm so glad you feel good about you decision, and I can't wait to talk to you about it.

HUGS

I'm glad things worked out - I think the time off will be good for you and you'll get some valuable writing/thinking done (and plus yay! you'll be on the east coast! near all of us!).

Bravo for the not-needing-a-degree-to-validate-writing thing! It was tough for me to give up my English major, as the creative writing concentration can't be attached to anything else, but I was so much happier as a comp lit major than I would have been had I stuck with English. Also, time off of school= fabulous. It's funny, not a single one of my friends is going to grad school next year, and I think we will have a great time enjoying our homework-free lives together.
And as for San Francisco, you can always just latch onto my EEEVIL PLAN to make pretty much everyone I know move there with me in about three or four years. : )

I'm going for an undergrad in Creative Writing in the fall.

I hope I come out of it with as positive an outlook as you.
