Seeing Red (Not Really)

I was re-watching the DVD commentary for Red the other night and I noticed for the first time (!) that it's actually really noticeable that there are parts where instead of Clark/Tom, you're seeing a stunt guy. Some examples:

I put my mood down as curious because- was there really no way better to shoot/edit this to not make it so obvious? On the other hand, I guess it's not THAT obvious since I've been watching this episode for years and just now noticed it...
