Fremont here I come!

Well, my job with the twins is officially over. The family just can't afford it anymore. Talk about a blow to my heart! I mean, I knew I loved them, but now I realize just how much. The other day I went over and said goodbye and I cried so hard. Not hard enough so the boys could notice though. Clay kept giving me his little open mouth kisses. ( Read more... )

Talk about a blow to my heart! ...

Sorry, honey. So will you be working as a nanny at two different places, now? Or just the one? Where was the new family, again?

Your place sounds fabulous. It looks to me like you'll probably be living within about a mile of where my parents lived for a few years (while my Mom worked in Emeryville).

Maybe I can bike down to visit you sometime? :-)

Moving does suck.

I am still with the little girl on Tuesdays and Thursdays and am currently looking for another job for the other days. The family lives in Foster City. I actually have an interview next week with another family in the east bay.. I hope I get it because I NEED a job.. I know that you know how that feels. I had to defer my car payment for a month. *sigh ( ... )

I would love for you to come down and visit. Are you sure you want to bike all that way? How far is Oakland from Fremont anyway?

Well, I'd be into visiting one way or another, sometime. :-) But, I'd be into biking down there, meeting for a (cheap) lunch or something, and then biking back. It's about 60 - 70 miles round-trip (and about 3000 to 6000 feet of climbing), depending on route. I'll be ready to be biking those (and greater) distances, soon -- as my calves get better and I get into shape.

BTW, you might see whether klwalton and you could go for a walk, together, sometime. I think she's doing that regularly these days. (Of course, her dog might keep the pace a bit crazy, but.... ;-) )
