I need a little advice on this one. It is no secret that Macy is a challenge. She has been pissing me off a lot lately with her bad attitude, but we have been dealing with it as needed. Last night she spent the night at a neighbors house. There were about 5 kids all together. I guess three of the kids (one being Macy) were spitting in another ( Read more... )

A part of me wants to spit in something she is eating, just so she can see how it feels..

Well, I don't think I'd do *that*. But, yes, I can understand your anger with her behavior. I agree she behaved atrociously. Frankly, though, I'm not sure what I'd do, and it's possible that her behavior will carry enough repercussions for her as it is. Good luck to you. :-)

Thanks.. I will, for sure, need luck in raising Macy. I'm scared of what she will be like in her teen years if she isn't dealt with now.

I appreciate your opinion on this. The one thing I remember most about you was the fact that you are an awesome mother. Being thrown into the role as mother of two pre-teens at the age of 28 has not been easy for me, or them for that matter.

Macy, overall, is a pretty good kid with a great head on her shoulders. But there are those times when I just want to shake it into her that her behavior is not acceptable. TJ kind of babies her because Macy's father was a total jerk to the kids and to make up for that, TJ lets her get away with a lot. That is one of our major issues in our relationship.

Anyway, Macy has been punished for spitting into Garrett's popcorn and she has also been told that if she EVER spits again, she will be punished for a month. I can tell she knows she was wrong, but it still needed to be said.

Thanks again and I am glad to hear (um, read) that your friend Mark is OK!

Ciao
