Hmmm....maybe it's a distance thing. For weeks we were all constantly in contact, constantly around. Even when we were buried by things to do. Now, two are down in AL and yours is headed out for NG stuff this weekend. Friends that are now closer in my heart seem further away in miles (even though no one has moved).
