Another reason for be to work on not being fat anymore:

Where You Won't Shop in 2009Lane Bryant already closed 150 stores and are planning on closing another 100. It's not a large percentage of their total, but if I don't have anywhere that I know that I can find clothes that will fit me, it's just another reason to try to be a size that I can ( Read more... )

Well, I think Lane Bryant's quality is crap, but I hear you on finding affordable clothes that fit. I guess it's back to the gym for me!

That SUCKS. People shouldn't have to make their bodies to fit the clothes; it should be the other way around. RAGE RAGE RAGE!

What about Macy's ? New York & Co also carries larger sizes. So does Filene's basement.

There are some places that still carry plus sizes, but there are very few that will consistently have things that fit me. I'm bigger than the "bigger sizes" in most regular stores (at least in pants; New York & Co goes to an 18; Old Navy goes to a 20 and doesn't carry plus sizes in stores any more). It's depressing to go to the mall and know that the cute things in the windows of most stores will never come close to fitting me.

Even more frustrating is trying to find plus sized maternity clothes, because obviously if you are fat, (1) you are too fat to reproduce or (2) you just need a muumuu.
