With the Liberals defeated, does this open the door for Harper to bring us back to the dark ages?

Paul Martin and the liberals have been voted out in the non-confidence vote? Does this mean that by mid year we'll (and when I say we I mean females) back in the kitchen barefoot and pregnant?? i think as long as the bloc exists there will always be a minority government. I know I'm not supposed to tell who I'll be voting for, so let's just say I won't be throwing my vote away this year...

Personally I prefer a minority government because it means nobody has absolute power (and you know what they say about absolute power...)

Separatism will always be an issue to people who live in Quebec. Just because the referendum is over doesn't mean it's not still on their agenda. And remember how close that referendum was, too...

I think Stephen Harper is a smug, power-hungry sore loser. And I think a lot of people think that about him. Plus, while I think the memory of Mulroney is fading, it's still fresh enough in some people's minds to remind them that Conservative is NOT a good way to go (hello, GST much? So much for that "temporary" tax). I'm confident that the majority of people will have the sense to see Stephen Harper for the wolf in sheep's clothing that he is. His sheep costume isn't very good, after all.
