Well, obviously this was a superfast read. The mystery was so - so (the 'twist' was telegraphed way in advance), but the characters are great fun, and the philosophy, although a bit too relevant to the eventual 'twist', was enjoyably written. Just what I'd expect from the novelist behind "Bubba Hotep". I want to find the earlier book because, well, I want to know how Leonard and Hap first met. I can't figure out if Leonard has the hots for Hap and is just incredibly cool about it, or if there's a 'don't click' there which I'm missing... Yes, I know that he's enough of a gentleman not to make an advance if Hap's not interested, but the story of them working it out has to be worth reading.
