personally, i think being boiled in oil (which has a much higher boiling point than water), burned or roasted alive slowly, or being sawed in half upside down would be the worst.

Honestly, I think dying like a vegetable would be the worst. Being a burden on family, not even knowing I'm "there," etc - would be terrible for me.

Personally, I just think it's such an undignified way to go. At least some of the stuff on this list is interesting.

yeah, that would be pretty shitty. i'd feel really bad about making my family worry.

i edited the entry to make it the "worst, most painful way to die", because that's what my answers were referring to.

Honestly, I think that they had to be pretty fucked up back then to hang someone upside down and then saw them in half vertically. Seriously. Fucked. Up. That's got to be the worst form of killing.

Personally, I think, if I had to be killed, I'd like to be shot by a single bullet. Kind of morbid, yeah. But, it'd be like a tribute of sorts to all my favorite characters who were shot and killed (or almost killed).

It's scary I think about things like this.

i know! after reading all these different forms of torture they used to have, i must say, they were SERIOUSLY fucked up back then. creative, but fucked up. so evil.

if i had to be killed, i shot to the head would be my choice way to die as well. quick, easy, and (hopefully) painless.

I hope I would have a heart attack and die before someone actually killed me in one of those ways. Nothing freaks me out more then the thought of being in an isolated room where water drips slowly into it and you know you are going to drown. I saw it in a movie when I was a kid, and I didnt sleep for a looooooong time.

ooh, that's spooky. that reminds me of the movie the cell, where that girl is stuck in that room where it sprays water and slowly fills up. that would drive me mad.

I've always been more scared of things like tetanus, mad cow disease and hemorrhagic small pox. When I was a kid I was terrified of dying in my sleep, but now I think there's probably way worse ways to perish.

(When I was little I also thought some ways of dying, like crucifixion and TB and polio, were very romantic. Well, actually, I still kinda think that. Silly? Probably.)

see, diseases scare me, too, but at least if i had one of those terminal diseases, someone could just shoot me before it got really bad. but i'm thinking if i'm in one of my terrible situations described above, i probably won't have the option of being shot. :/
