God is all the energy in the universe, all the matter, everything. Call it what you will: a deity, nature, a random collection of happenings, it is all operating under the same basic energy. And that means that we are all God, and God is all of us. It's everything and nothing.

I would expand, but I'm going to bed right now.

My god is the power of the human mind. I believe that people create religion and believe in it so strongly that it becomes real for them. Their god can smite them or reward them, depending upon what they expect or subconsciously yearn for their god to do. People create their own afterlife or lack thereof.

While I love studying religion, I don't participate. I try to meditate, but that that's more about inner peace than it is about any god. My life is mine, and if I only get one I certainly don't want to spend it worshiping something that I usually find to be hypocritical (at least, in the majority of religions I've studied).

I like the idea of the Universe existing as a greater being, and energy existing inside of each person, allowing them to create their own reality. I LOVE the idea of reincarnation, and being given a new life full of new lessons and new paths to take or leave.

And I also never realized that my religious opinions made me sound like such a liberal hippie. Though I am a bit liberal. But I bathe, I swear.
