Finally!! I'm here with my summary post!!
This one brought in a LOT of epic flailage, I have to admit I wasn't expecting everyone to get so crazy excited and into it. It will be interesting trying to summarise it, but here goes.

My Entry!
So being that it was for a Shige photo there was a lot of shige love as expected, but alas, there was one or two of his hobbies I want to flail about that weren't already mentioned. I will write my flail then combine it all into one big shige flail followed by the rest of the summary on other JE pretties. This is my official warning........ i'm about to flail about Shige's hobbies...... this may end up being a HUGE post!!!

Shige cooking!!
Yeah we all know he loves it because he is always talking about it. Shige found himself crazy into cooking once he started fishing, taking pride in researching the fish he was catching and making the right dishes out of them. I raelly really really really want to taste Shige's cooking!! He reports that his friends have praised his cooking so I'm sure it's amazing!! Then there's also proof of his practiced cooking skills when you see him on shows like Chubaw Desu yo:
He's just so comfortable with chatting and cutting things up and all the rest of the cooking they do on the show!! It's so hard to NOT be in love with men that can cook! A man in an apron stirring in a saucepan over a stovetop....... kyaaaaaaaa!! So looking forward to his new drama! It's probably a good thing it hasn't already started because this post would be HUGE if I had those materials to flail over.
ok next of Shige's hobbies that no one else mentioned that MUST be mentioned...... it's making umeboshi..... LOL
Proving to us all once again that yes, he is in fact, an old man trapped in a young man's body. Hahaha I love how he talks about making it though. It's like he loves the reaction people have when they learn this fact about him, he likes the shock factor, but at the same time he's all sheepish because he knows how odd it is for someone his age to indulge in such a hobby. It probably in the same way i tell people what I mean when I say i'm into jpop..... "umm it's like, japanese boybands" and even more so when they try to ask more about it after that. increadibly proud of my fandom, and love that it's slightly out of the ordinary (and that I know how ridiculous I am as a fangirl) but also very protective of my love for it haha.
The last of shige's talents/hobbies that I feel the need to mention, is how often he talks about/proves just how big his mouth is. yeah that's right, as shige always says.... his special talent is fitting his fist in his mouth. BAKA!!
left that one bigger so you can actually see it hahahaha. such a talent!! It probably serves him right for always mentioning it (he still does) when ryo shoved a whole heap of takoyaki in Shige's mouth (N.E.W.S. dvd) just to see how many he could fit. poor shige!

Definitely my favourite of his hobbies is photography! Not only does he love it but he's damn good at it too!!
kissmegreen also mention Shige's photo taking ability in her entry. But her entry wasn't simply about his photo taking but also about his writing in the context of photo taking, sharing this photo:
because she writes in such a fantastic manner, and because I agree with every word AND because this is my summary post and I can.... this is what she said, explaining the story attached with the photo and how she interpreted Shige's words (I hope you don't mind that I'm copying and pasting but it just needs to be shared, let me know if you'd rather I didn't):
I love the way he thinks, how he expresses himself in writing and photography. His stories are so real and I particularly admire and is awed at how he conveys his thoughts and experiences as simple as a 1-2-3 sort of story yet he's able to reveal one of life's great meaning. Shige is simple but also deep and that's lovey as 'the picture' gets.
This is how this photo comes in. It's taken from Shige's Photoshigenic #15 and the story behind it that makes it perfect. Basically he was there observing the scenery and taking photos while eating out with news, but while this was happening a piece of meat fell to the ground and as a joke the other members passed it to Shige, but of course Shige wouldn't have known that since he was busy taking photos. And so he happily ate it lol. anyway when he found out, he said,
"...If somebody gave a STOP to all this... I couldn't see the crossing car, only the Korean meat"
And I marveled at the point he was making: "in everything, there's a bigger picture... in every bad there's good... so as much as they let him eat that bad meat, he was able to capture this stunning picture because no one interrupted the moment... and this moment, judging from the angle of the photo, the precise timing of the moving/crossing car, this will almost never happen again".
This makes the photo itself also food for thought with it's effect. It really forces one to stop and think what's happening so the "STOP" caught in the film though coincidental, is very relevant because the story is contradictory in itself... there's this big 'STOP' sign, yet the car seems to be moving with speed.
So this basically goes back to Shige's thinking and how it's portrayed in his hobby. It's a simple photo, but it says so much, just like Shige.~

Being the first novelist in JE, there is nothing us shige fan girls can be more proud of. Oh Shige, if only I could read it!! but not just that, we have been marveling at his words for years! If you want to read some of his words (and I highly suggest it) go to Giu-chan's LJ and download Shigerigoto. Shige has this profound way of expressing the way he sees the world. He's deep thinking, incredibly intelligent and so very observant.

FISHING!!
Mentioned by mayezinha. who pointed out not only Shige's enthusiasm for fishing, but also for cooking the fishes as mentioned earlier. When Shige talks about fish and fishing... his whole being lights up!! He talks about fish in the way I talk about him, we could talk and talk and talk for days. Also a very very good point.............. tanned shige............ YES!!!
spilledmilk25also pointed out Shige's passion for music and radio.
Shige studies hard to make his radio shows interesting and is not afraid to share his taste in music.
Massu
care of our lucky winner katrinasacay who mentioned massu's love for drawing and the look of concentration he has when he is indulging in this hobby. I completely agree with you kat, Massu should be allowed to do his own animations!! I'd love to see a NakaMassu collaboration, maybe a picture book or similar project.
also mentioned was Massu's love for shopping and fashion. (yeah it's getting late so my summary post is getting briefer, probably a good thing)
Ryo-chan
mentioned by mariiaw who pointed out ryo's guitar playing and smoking. The two things he does that make him look incredibly HOT!! I dislike smokers...... but ryo-chan is almost an exception to that rule. Stop it ryo it's bad for your health!!! but as long as you stick to it at least let us watch you!
ok so being slightly naughty here and adding in a hobby of ryo's that need mentioning. (If you aren't already aware of it..... ryo-chan was my first bias and remains right up with Shige in my list.... flailage is necessary)
Surfing!! The mental image of ryo-chan surfing always killed me, but then, finally, the pictures started coming up from the K8 event of him surfing.... and DAMN it's even hotter then I imagined!!
Tegoshi
This one is going to be fun to sumarise....so many tegoshi fangirls this month!!
So first is soccer mentioned by adiweingartenbunny_alice, and seralambert.
We all agree that tegoshi has marvelously gorgeous soccer legs!! We also all agree that Tegoshi is soccer obsessed. It's a miracle if Tegoshi DOESN'T mention soccer in his magazine interviews these days. He throws in soccer related comments as often as he can. The image of him as a team captain fits so perfectly well, he is the powerhouse of NEWS getting everyone pumped and excited, it's only natural that he would do the same for his team.
Drawing..... even though the talent is questionable, he loves it all the same.
I guess it's inspiring in a sense, letting us know that we are allowed to still enjoy doing things, even if we aren't good at them.
I was so glad when surenataro mentioned Tegoshi's love for pulling pranks. The demon himself! Most mention-able of course is the let's-wrap-koyama's-suitcase-in-packing-tape incident on the daimond documentary dvd. I'm sure i'm not the only one that finds tegoshi's devious facial expressions to be adorable!!
Other things mentioned about Tegoshi, his singing, dancing, cross dressing and his joy in making fangirls squeal at his adorableness.

Uepi
You knew it was coming......... epic uepi boxing flail!!!!!! Shout out to our resident Ueda fangirls loveyourself6, pandanyan, and harukana_linzi. but you don't need my words...... instead enjoy some gifs and videos. Oh those muscles!! oh that sparkle in his eyes!!! Uepi boxing is like watching shige take photos, it's a natural state of being. Uepi at his best is uepi boxing. but you don't need my words...... instead enjoy a gif and video.

Nakamaru
Just when I was close to closing my giveaway the Maru love appeared thanks to chuckles0505, and haiiro_yosei.
First up, his love for soccer. A gif of Maru indulging in our natural state........ flailing....... ok he's cheering really but it's still the same, he flails :P
There is a common hobby it seems, Maru is also one for drawing, and is good at it too!!
As mentioned, Maru has expressed a desire to publish some of his works, be it in the form of a photobook or picture book. As I mentioned earlier..... how cool would a NakaMassu collaboration project be!!! The other point about why Maru's drawing hobby is flailworthy is the opportunity for us to focus on he beatiful hands!! Yes that's right, I found someone else with a hand fetish in this months giveaway. And that's not just all, I was also provided with a series of UNF-worthy handporn............. haiiro_yoseiyou kill me and I love you for it!!!!! there is no way I can summarise and leave any of those pics out, so we will just pretend Nakamaru has the hobby of using his hands....

Yaotome Hikaru
Out of nowhere comes a Jump fan ^^ yaotomesugoi revealed a hobby of Hikaru's that, not being a jump fan in any way, I had no idea about!!! it also made me flail to a ridiculous degree. Perhaps it's time I became a jump fan!!!
HE PLAY'S BASS?!?!?!?! Not only are bass players sexy in general......... but I am also one of them (maybe minus the sexiness though).
Sakamoto Masayuki
Last but not least was clipsie who came in flailing about Sakamoto's cooking skills.
Gotta love a man who can cook.
Wow that took a long time to summarise!! I should stop underestimating fangirls flailing ability. There is one more gorgeous awesome amazing hobbying flail that must be had before I stop....

Taguchi Junnosuke
The billiards king! There is only one thing hotter then a guy playing billiards...... and that's a guy who is FUCKING GOOD at playing billiards. No matter how many times I see clips of him play I can't seem to take my eyes away, it's on the same level as shige's photography and Ueda's boxing. It's also perfection because we get to see Junno's concentrating face *squeals* oh how I love him.
It's way past my bedtime so I won't go searching for more pics of guchi, but I can't really mention him without also speaking of his trivial hobbies, like juggling, gaming, manga and all around otaku goodness. And then the acrobatics!! oh lordy how i drool when he goes jumping and tumbling about the place!!!
October Giveaway
My crazy fangirl need to mention Junno's hobbies is the perfect segway into next months giveaway. Yeah you guessed it, in October I will be giving away a picture of the ultimate of dorks himself. The task will be slightly different next month and I'm really really looking forward to it. Because it may take longer to complete, the entries will be open a bit longer too. But don't worry, it's still not all that difficult and it really will be fun XD
