seriously intended to make a real update or something, but of course the only phone call we got all day at work happened while I was typing this up....and while logic would say it could have just waited, I didn't feel like waiting and didn't much want the two other newbie students I was helping to train to see what I was doing either.
and just lots of subbing groups locking up their communities, which makes me sad. and annoyed because my patience is not infinite and I can see how many days ago (10) I filled out the application...and thus how many days it has been since they have not responded in any way. trying to keep the annoyance relatively self-contained though, since it wouldn't help anything =P (Learning the language would, of course, be a more permanent solution, but assuming they respond any time within the next several years, probably still faster to wait for the subbers)
and now my comment is officially longer than the post. makes sense, I swear
