hey man, I was watching a BU vs Maine hockey game the other night...and I was like "Hey Chris is probably playing in that band!" and then I was like "Hey Maine just scored two short handed goals during the same power play!" Then I realized that was funny and laughed. I don't know who won that game though, it was 3-2 Maine when I stopped watching.
Hahaha, it was ridiculous. When Maine would have another delayed penalty against them (so BU would have another Power Play), our student section was trying to wave off the penalty, or decline the power play. Haha, weirdest funny thing. Awesome.
dude, that's what a live journal is for: to complain (well, most of the time, some times you just have really funny stories that you hate haven't to repeat so you just post it)
Don't sweat it so much, Chris. I get made fun of for my interests, because apparently I choose partying over band... even though I'm IN the band at MIT, and I honestly don't do that much partying... so it goes both ways, and you have been the guilty party in some of those snide comments. A lot of the comments you're getting are probably just in fun -- and the ones that aren't, give 'em a big "fuck you". I'm sorry if some of those giant comment wars made you feel like people were upset with you personally. A lot of it was just bouncing from insult to insult, and that doesn't get anywhere. Let's just try not to have any more comment wars, mmkay? And cheer up a little! :) There's nothing wrong with band!
band is awesome. make sure you hold true to what you beleive in and don't take any shit from anyone else. you aren't a negative person, and there are plenty of things to be happy about, and you have always seemed to me to be a cheerful and happy person. maybe a little stressed about school sometimes, but awesome nonetheless, and your friends will always support you.
I may not know you as much now, as I did in the past couple years... seeing whereas you're at school now etc, and minus LJ, AIM and a couple football games, I don't really talk to you. But!!! all that aside, what I know, you're a super cool guy. And a mad good sax player. So take what you're good at, and use it. Abuse it. We had good times in HS band, and I can only imagine that college band is HS band times... like... 10 hundred! (or 1000... 1/2 dozen to 6... whatever =P) And one thing that I've noticed, and hope to pursue it next year when I'm at college, is that some of the best friends you can have, are fellow band geeks. (geeks being a very loveable term) So that's my ramble about being band winners, and stick to it. If you like it, that's what matters, as corny as it sounds...
