Huh. Never heard of any of them,(except for Rihanna, whom I haven't even listened to because I'm sick of pop culture crap) but I guess they're mostly known in Europe.

Were you a Vanilla Ice or Milli Vanilli fan in the 80s/early 90s? I remember rocking out to them in the 5th grade.:-)

The bands are all SWEDISH, and were minor celebs if known at all outside the borders of our fair country. That's why I torment you Transatlantics with 'em now!

Neither. You have to remember, I'm 37. Around 1990 I was already deep into serious record collecting: goth and indie, Bowie and 70s art-rock, progressive rock, heavy metal et.c. et.c. My teeny-bop period was the early 80s (until ca 1985). My guilty secret is Howard Jones: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qseEvTGU2U

Man, Just D is great! A few years ago when I was swallowing all things hip-hop, I stumbled on them while looking at international acts. I'd forgotten about them until now. I suppose it's not hard to rhyme in Swedish when every words ends in "ouhn".

Well, I spent the better part of two hours last night, but could have been more effective. What takes time is compiling the posts and adding suitable comments, not finding content.
