With sprouts, potato waffles, cream gravy and jelly. And zabayone ice cream for dessert. As they say: all's well that ends well. It WAS a good year after all.
Sounds yummy. :D Menno made quail for the first time last year, and aside from them looking like sad little animals, they were delicious! What kind of jelly do you mean?
So when are we going to hear about your path to conversion? I'm waiting most anxiously!
They do look pathetic, don't they? Actually, it wasn't so much jelly as red onion marmalade. And apple sauce for the chillun.
Yes, I know "a few weeks" have so far turned into seven, but I have been rather busy, and want to make sure what I post on this very personal subject turns out right.
You know I didn't actually say, "Happy New Year", so... Happy New Year! I hope that you continue to do well. I'm still praying that you and Jenny will be able to be at peace with one another over your path to the Roman Catholic Church.
I totally understand about wanting to get the post right and being busy, so no worries. Just know that I'm looking forward to it! :)
I don't think I've ever had red onion marmalade. How were the quail cooked? (Seasoning etc?) I think something with cranberry would be nice. Apple sauce is always a staple for kids, especially for Dutch children. ;)
