Chocolate News is simply not funny. It's borderline offensive, and the comedy does not work. David Alan Grier's style worked well in In Living Color, but something is  currently missing from Chocolate News.

I would agree that many of the skits are borderline (and often over-the-line) offensive and unfunny, but I think Grier's monologues are hilarious.

Chappelle made it work, and in many ways Chocolate News was to be the replacement for the Chappelle show.

Well, then you have to admit Chocolate News is a damn sight better than the previous Chappelle replacement, whose name I shall not speak here.

Mencia? The difference is that Mencia was never funny. But yes Chocolate News is an improvement.

Eh, I don't find it offensive, but it's way hit or miss. I like David Allan Grier in general, and him doing Maya Angelou is hi-larious.
