Heard last night that a friend of ours lost his battle with cancer yesterday morning, leaving behind a wife and 2 young daughters. *sigh* So sad. He was about 4 months younger than me (42). Way too young to die. Next Wednesday is the 19th anniversary of my mother's death. She was 52, and I thought that was too young. What's really ( Read more... )

Thanks! To be honest I haven't been on LJ in about 6 weeks. I've been way too busy, and catching up hasn't been high on the priority list. Always too many things going on, it seems.

Our friend is actually coming out to Denver in early July, so we'll have a chance to see her and see how they're doing. Hopefully she and girls are getting along reasonably well now.
