Yeah, my first brick arrived. It was rather funny because Jeneane came back from the post office and said, "I think one of your bricks came in." I opened it up like a Christmas present! Jeneane's sister, Niki, was like, "Oh my god, you really did get a brick!" I have two more coming, and one more company to contact. We are going to have engraved ( Read more... )

Hey E!

I wanted to say two things. First and foremost, I'm proud of you for how you are handling everything that is going on with Chris. I know it hurts and I know it's hard, but Les and I are both in awe of how well you are handling it. Secondly, I was involved in a brick sale fundraiser once and we did basically the same thing. We were raising money for the tennis courts that my school built my senior year. I think we sold the bricks for $100 a piece. I'm not absolutely certain where we purchased the bricks from, though I imagine it would have been in-state because at the time there were two brick-makers in our area, but we allowed the purchasers of the bricks to have up to three lines of engraving done on each brick and they could put a maximum of 36 letters on the brick (12 per line). The bricks have been placed in a walkway leading up to the tennis courts and look very nice! We still have people purchasing bricks five years later! Take care and know that Les and I think about you a lot.

Thanks! I'm not as strong as I wish I was or thought I was with the whole Chris ordeal. However, I know that God is here for me and I have wonderful friends like you and Les who are here for me too. I just feel blessed. I cry and get bummed out because sometimes I just can't help it...but I try very hard to quickly wiggle back into all that is good in the world and in my life. I have a lot to be thankful for. Plus, now that I have two kittens I find my self in a constant laughter. Life be pretty dern good. ;) I hope you have a wonderful day!! Thanks again for being such a good friend. Oh and that's good to know that people are still buying bricks even now. I'll have to share your story with the design subcommittee, I'm sure they find that reasuring. :)
