Some pictures from yesterday:

Johnny petting Rainy.

I liked the look on Rainy's satisfied face. If Johnny stopped petting her but left his hand there, after about 20 seconds she'd bring her little paw up to touch him lightly to tell him, don't forget me.

Johnny on a walk Dave, Johnny, the dogs and I took to the creek and then the lake in the afternoon.

Dominae Dormientis et Canem Eius (Sleeping Lady and her Dog) - inspired by a dream I had. I was woken up from my nap yesterday when Rainy came in and curled up behind my back - her favorite spot.

I've been up since 1 am. It's 5 now. It's crazy how I can't sleep at night sometimes. I was up most all of the day yesterday except for a very short half hour nap in the afternoon and I still can't sleep through the night.

Today is Dave's eye shot in the afternoon and that's when Johnny and Alison will be leaving. We had a good visit. Alison was able to make some jewelry in my studio on Saturday and yesterday, and I enjoyed keeping her company there. I was glad that this time we could provide a nicer room for them to sleep in. On Sunday we had our November birthdays and Thanksgiving dinner. Very early I know for Thanksgiving, but I'm glad that it's out of the way now. All the other families of people with partners can have their big dinners without me being involved in scheduling. On the Thursday Thanksgiving Day I can be really thankful and just relax.
