Heathen/Pagan holidays are very practical at their base parts. Holidays for baking bread, holidays for feeding friends/neighbors, holidays for happy wishing and/or having sex outside, holidays for remembering that everyone dies, holidays for checking on the family's candle and firewood supply, holidays for apologizing to neighbors with fresh produce, a holiday to clean your house inside/out... it's just... smart living with a sun almanac for some guidance on some basic things you should try to do once in awhile.

I didn't look it up, but you can tell it was a play. The last scene of the outside was nice.

A calendar with all the pagan/earth based holidays would be great to see.
