Not an Arashi post, but...

So I came home today and needed to just relax for a bit before taking a shower.. I was derping around on Netflix instant watch when I saw there was that 30 Days TV show in our queue.. against better judgement (I guess), I decided to watch this episode where a lady who does not believe in gay couples adopting children joined a gay couple for 4 ( Read more... )

I can imagine your anger. I mean, I'm always puzzled when someone says "I accept gay couples, but I don't accept that they can adopt children." and I wonder, why?
I work with kids and I had family followed by social services. I think it's important to try to stay with the natural parents, but really .. is BEST for the child to be with heterosexual parents and....unstable?
There are many children who are abused, abandoned, ignored. it's better for them to live in these situations or live in institutions rather than giving them a home and people who can love them?
really I don't understand.
let's face it, children have become "people","owner of rights" less than 40 years ago. the road is still long...even for gay people-_-

It's very sad that even though I feel like we have come so far, when looked at closely, in reality we really haven't come that far.. I'm not sure what we need to do to change but I definitely feel that a lot of the younger generation is more lenient on that kind of thing.. however, they are much more self-centered and haughty.. I'm not sure which is worse.. I just don't understand why this woman would rather a child be raised from home to home with no real STABLE family instead of a loving family with--god forbid-- a homosexual couple.

UGH!

I should probably start by saying I studied in a Catholic school for half of my life, and I grew up in the Philippines, one of the last two (three?) countries that still restricts its population's access to cheap, effective contraception for fear of 'losing national morals'. Between conservative and liberal, I probably leaned more to the former. Then ( ... )

thank you for your comment it was very enlightening. I particularly like your quote:

"Your liberty to swing your fist ends just where my nose begins"

Totally agree with that and is exactly what people should abide by, but they are NOT. I don't understand peoples obsession with nosing in other's lives. If it's not affecting you, your loved ones, or others.. LEAVE IT ALONE. It's not your business. But, like I said.. people are nosy by nature it seems :||

I really don't understand some people...-_-
I mean really, why do you have to care so much about someone else's lifestyle when it doesn't affect you at all?
It's also been said that gay couples make better parents than heterosexual couples because they can't have any children of their own and genuinely want to raise a family. So they adopt. A lot of love is in those families and I for one am quite happy for them.

SLKAJG;OIRJAFO;EIJW WHERE IS THIS WOMAN I WILL HUNT HER DOWN AND PUNCH THE STUPID OUT OF HER. Or at least kick her in the shins? Pretty please?

People like this infuriate me beyond reason. I'm gonna go watch some Arashi to lower my blood pressure.

You're a better person than me. I believe people can have their opinions, but I also absolutely believe there are opinions that deserve no respect, period.
