In an effort to avoid editing the next chapter of Consigned to Oblivion, I'm going to ramble about something I'd really like to do but probably won't due to the huge potential for drama. Still, I've had this idea kicking around in my head for a while and I still like it. (I don't like what other people will inevitably do with it, but what can I do

I think it's a fantastic idea. Yes, some wank may appear if we're not careful, but I think that trying to promote any fic to the fandom is a good thing. Some pieces that may be just waiting for some feedback or get passed by for the bigger stories or what have you may finally get their time in the sun. I don't know that every selection will make everyone happy, but that's just how things are. I wouldn't mind seeing it start somewhat small. It'd be easier to set the tone if we do. If people aren't acting like creepers to one another from the start, perhaps it'll prevent those who want to stir that up later on. I know I tend to drift towards my chosen pairings/themes, too. It'd be nice to see some other stuff than what I would usually read and expand the fandom universe. I'd love to help with this---especially as we near summertime and people have more time away from TV etc. I look forward to seeing how this works out in the long run.
