Merlin Rambles, Episode 13
The one I've seen today:
Thirteenth Episode: Le Morte d'Arthur
Arthur is now wearing brown. Well done. On the other hand, all your friends are wearing RED CLOAKS. How very stealthy...
The constant criticism of Merlin by Arthur is really wearing thin. Yes, we know, Merlin is a warlock. He has wonderous magical gifts, making Arthur's denial that he has any natural gifts oh-so amusing. Well done, scriptwriters and directors. Have a stamp. Have two. Just stop brow-beating us.
The shot of Morgana with Gwen's hands on her face really shows off her eyes. Very nice.
Hehe "citizen of our kingdom". Hehehe.
If Merlin really is such a tool, why is Arthur bringing him along?
Oh, smart. Go into the monster's lair. Don't ambush it when it emerges or anything.
Bet you wish you'd given Excalibur to Arthur now, Merlin.
But for using telekinesis to stab it with the sword, I forgive you. Well done.
Man, this show should've been the Golden Age of Camelot with Anthony Head as Arthur. That would be briliiant!
Why is it called a Questing Beast? I thought I'd misheard it, but nooooo, it's called that. ORIGINALITY PLEASE.
Arthur shirtless is not very impressive. There is no way he's a knight or swordsman, let alone the best in the kingdom.
That's a pretty hilarious map, too...
Gwen nursing Arthur? I presume this is where it all begins properly, then...
The lack of continuity between episodes is beginning to grate really hard. This show needs an HBO-type influence...
Had to be Nimueh. She IS awesome, so...
Here comes the loss of innocence, perhaps...though knowing this show it'll only last for the one episode...
Merlin's setting up enemies left, right and centre. Wow. I hope the dragon pulls his head off...
I'm sorry but I just don't believe this "you've taught me so much" thing. There hasn't been enough effort to establish these relationships. I think they've upped the ante too much, too early, which kills the tension that would otherwise be present.
My bet - getting supplies = self-sacrifice by Gaius.
The letter - confirming said suspicion - is horrible. Need new writers.
How did he get across without getting wet? Gaius took the boat across...
Decent attack spell...but RING OF FIRE! DOOOO IIIIT!
See what she did there? The fireball? Learn that one!
Ok, the lightening was good. But Gaius living is a cop-out. I get that Nimueh replaced him blah blah but it's like the writers have no spine. It would have made the whole thing so much more powerful...
