I've lived on about that budget for a while. I think you're forgetting about all those miscellaneous things that come up; presents, furniture, random fees, etc. And, well, I have a horrible book addiction, which makes it even harder.

Indeed. Today, for example, I ate 5 bucks for laundry. But I'm in the black so far.

To clarify, I have occasionally dipped in to the red. I am okay with this as long as my amortized costs are 20/day.
