You, know, I too was devastated by watching My Girl. And I too discovered "Smile" for the first time when I watched My Girl 2. It's right up there on my list of favorite songs. Immediately after watching the movie, i set about memorizing it so that I could always have it with me, something bittersweet that could make me smile anytime I wanted. Such a great song. :)

I did, as well! I listed to that part of the movie several times when it was on and then looked it up online to learn all of the words. :) It's a great song.

That song is a very popular theme this week! I've never seen My Girl 2(but I did see the first one). And you sung it beautifully too!

A lot of people posted about this song, but I really like how you did a little musical anthropology here! I can't listen because I'm at work but I liked this post. It was a mix of personal importance and history. I don't think it was too severe, as you say.
