You really only see the huge, unfit Americans when you leave larger cities. I'm sure Boston is to NYC, where so many people need to walk and use public transit, that you don't see as many truly unfit people there/here. Try the midwestern suburbs sometime...you'll see. :)

This, sadly, is true. I moved from NYC to Florida and was all HOLY SHIT LOOKIT THE SIZE OF THAT GUY every day.

Oh but you see the same thing in rural areas in most western countries.

It's 'cause your food options are all-you-can-eat pancakes, all-you-can-eat Chinese, or all-you-can-eat seafood. Seriously, I was down in Tampa in January and I felt sick just watching everyone else eat. :s

i've lived just outside of boston for 10 years and i have never seen anyone wearing one of those hats

I have a slight phobia about shell fish, so I'm glad the hat only exists in your comic-diary :)

I have a pretty bad phobia of shell fish too. Eating the lobster is really a comic in itself. I screamed, jumped and felt dizzy the entire time. I refuse to eat shrimp. But I wanted to be a sport.

Their wiggly eyes and feeler thingys freak me out :(

Yes they are bugs. They are bugs that live underwater... yuck! But I applaud you for eating some and for wearing the hat :) It is a hat of champions
