so grateful that it has been a short week. been going to some good restaurants. 3 weeks ago i went to a vendor dinner at megu where i had $100 sashimi plate w/fresh wasabi and $180 kobe beef. the week after i took lina out to dinner for her bday at eatery. i also went to lil's housewarming in battery park (her place is so nice!) and then ate ( Read more... )

Korean BBQ duck?! That sounds awesome. I've never had it. I had Korean BBQ pork at this place Daegee Koom, and it was fuckin AWESOME.

haha, daegee koom means "pig's dream", lol. but yeah bann is like this korean fusion place, so they had all different meats and unauthentic "korean" dishes (like steak tartare??). but yeah the duck was excellent. i've had tea-smoked duck and peking duck in chinatown, both awesome, but the bbq duck was more beef-like.

remeber koreana? i don't know if they were considered legit korean, but i had a steak tartare dish there. oh yea, it's digusting.

yeah, actually in paramus koreana sucked but after it moved to fort lee it's not as bad. the best korean food is in nj and flushing. hands down, flushing beats all for the price, but yeah, korean food in the city isn't that great and the prices are not very reasonable either. my mom's is by far the best =)
