it's monday, at 5pm. For some reason, our sellers decided to go on a lot of vacations right around the days we were going to close. We were going to close last week, but were waiting on grant money -- they were "out of town" for 4 days in the middle of the week, so it was a huge pain to get dates moved. All of the checks are in; the mortgage is approved. It looks like we're going to close on the house tomorrow evening. If the sellers are out of town tomorrow, it's Monday evening. Either way, we'll be homeowners within 4 days!

Kate and I are getting married! Our wedding date is August 26th, 2006, outside of Baltimore in Bel Air, Maryland, at the Liriodendron Mansion. the last few weeks have been quite warm. like, low 50s. until last week, where it dipped into the 30s and 40s. no snow except for a small flurry back in november. at least, until today.
