I didn't post this last Sunday because of Easter, so here it is
Pizza
This has an easy yeast crust that you don't have to prebake, just layer on your toppings and throw it in the oven!
1 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
1 tablespoon white sugar
2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1. Stir water, sugar and yeast together until dissolved. Add the olive oil and the salt. Stir in the flour until well blended. Let dough rest for 10 minutes.
2. Use a rolling pin or pat dough into pan or on to a pizza stone. Top with tomato sauce and your favorite pizza toppings and bake for 15 to 20 minutes in a preheated 425 degree oven.
Topping suggestions:
Use as many or few toppings as you like, and be inventive. I say it's not my type of pizza unless it has some kind of cheese on it, I use mozza, cheddar, or feta if I have it.
Hawaiian: Pineapple, ham, mozza cheese.
Meat lovers: Pepperoni, salami, ham, browned hamburger, sausage, bacon, cheddar cheese.
Pepperoni mushroom: Pepperoni, mushrooms, cheese.
Veggie: onions, olives, green pepper, tomato, mozza cheese.
Taco: Hamburger (prepared with taco seasoning), top with sour cream, salsa, tomato, lettuce, and cheddar cheese after baking
Feta: Browned hamburger, olives (optional), feta and mozza cheese.
Have fun!
