Thinking of you and yours when watching/reading news of the recent apartment building fire. Such a tragedy, and one that could have been lessened with a little bit of common sense.

Both books mentioned sound interesting. I'm having to shift my pattern of reading, what with being retired now... I can't schedule reading for my lunch times at work, which is where and read I've done most of my reading for the past decade and a half or so. Currently reading something called Not Self, But Country. It's basically historical fiction centered on the Continental Navy and the Revolutionary War. It's by a local Spokane author named David C. News years will probably be a non-event for us. Eva will be working both Sunday and Monday, although she's suggested that we might have spaghetti and garlic bread one of those days as our meal. And the first is also Jessica's B'day, so maybe she'll come by to pick up gifts and celebrate with Mom and Dad.
