Ancient Dice + Jokes
Sorry about the cross post, but this was just too funny to pass up...
On the discussion forum on ClanBob.net, they were talking about an ancient die that is being auctioned off, which is supposedly a "Circa 2nd Century A.D., 20 sided die"... < Auction details here >
so anyway, here were some peoples posts about the die with I found just hilarious...

i find this scenario appealing for my own inscrutable reasons (and it just sounds better in olde english):
Caesar: Thou hast encountered yet another minotaur.
Brutus: By ZEUS! Tis the Vth minotaur mine beleaguered party hath encountered this day! Quickly Rogue! Slingeth thine javelin!
Cassius: Would but that i had the fortitude to wield it. alas, i hath but an gladius.
Brutus: WIELDETH IT!!!! I hath not the favor to requesteth aid of apollo for yet a fortnight!
Cassius: I shalt smiteth yonder minotaur unawares with mine gladius!
Caesar: *rolls . . . . thou hast failed verily. yon minotaur hails of barbarian descent, and hast sensed and deflected thine gladius, yea, even smitten thee for VI pointes injury.
Brutus: A PLAGUE ON THEE AND THINE IIIrd INCARNATION RULES!
. . . . and there was much smiting in the senate that day. thus the roman empire was divided, and did fall.

( Just a fun scenario that would come up to the lucky owner of this die)
GM: The Arch Wizard has just cast a spell of greater decimate. (Personal creation spell: Area effect: 20-yds, Non-elemental, Resist lvl: 20 and requires a natural sv. vs magic of +7 or greater, 7d100x # of targets. Evil, ain't it? ^_^ )
Random player 1: Eep.
Random player 2: Oh gods no...
Jesus (the holder of the dice): Oh ye godly dice of ancient's don't fail me now! ::rolls the die::
DM: What does that symbol mean?
Jesus: Let me go check. ::runs to the computer and checks his E-mail:: Umm... it said 20904.
DM: ......Jesus saves. The rest of you take damage.
(And to stave of any rebukes for the use of that line, yes, I it does come from a T-shirt.
