Chapter 8 - Fanservice
The last day of filming was upon them. Yoochun had met the others at the studio where Kangin was taking Junsu's place since he was in Japan for the Chikin Ramen endorsement. The group did a quick read through the script and then they were out filming the last two episodes of their appearance on the show with PARAN.
"Welcome back to DBSK's pink ranger," the MC greeted.
"I'm glad to be back," Jaejoong replied.
"You were only gone from one day of filming but a lot has happened since then," the MC stated.
Jaejoong arched a brow, "Oh really?"
"It seems you're out of a partner now that the Blue and Red rangers decided to pair up," the MC gestured towards Yunho and Yoochun who were standing apart in standard DBSK formation.
"Really now? This is the first I've heard of it," Jaejoong replied.
The MC nodded, "The formation has changed a bit." He moved the members so that they now stood as Jaejoong, Changmin, Yoochun and Yunho. "Like this."
"I don't this this one should stand in the middle," Kangin said, gesturing to Changmin.
"Oh yes," the MC nodded, looking at the odd way the members heights made Changmin seemed in the middle. He switched the lineup to Changmin, Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Yunho.
"I feel like I should be offended," Jaejoong said.
"You should," said Kangin.
"Well, U-know what do you say?" the MC asked.
"I think blue and red go quite well together," Yunho replied with a grin, slinging his arm over Yoochun's shoulder.

After filming all of the boys had to get ready to go back to SM building for training and practice. It was nearing 6 and they would have 45 minutes to get back to the studio. The boys decided to get out of their costumes quickly so they could scavenge for food in the short amount of time they could.
"Hmmm, what should I get?" Yoochun asked, looking at the options in front of him at the studio breakroom's vending machine.
He looked at the 4 different flavors of noodles as if it were the hardest decision of his life. Unfortunately, Yunho came up from behind, wrapping his strong arms around his shoulders and pressing the button for kimchi flavor.
"Hey!" Yoochun protested, turning his head to look at Yunho.
Yunho merely grinned before leaning forward and catching his boyfriend's mouth in a kiss.
"You didn't want kimchi? I could buy you another one," Yunho offered when they parted.
Yoochun shook his head and leaned back into Yunho's embrace stroking his fingers over Yunho's wrist.
"No it's fine. It was probably going to be between that and salt flavor anyway," Yoochun admitted.
"Ugh, can you two stop being so obvious," Jaejoong said, cutting between them and stealing Yoochun's noodles from the machine.
"Hey those are mine!" Yoochun protested, squirming away from Yunho's grip to chase after Jaejoong as he sat at one of the tables to start eating.
"What? I can't help if you were too busy being lovey dovey to see that your food was finished," Jaejoong said with a roll of his eyes. "And what was up with today anyway? You two were so obvious during filming. 'I think red and blue go quite well together' wow really? Manager hyung is going to have a field day with you two."
"It wasn't like that!" Yoochun protested again, sitting down beside his friend. "Besides it's nothing compared to what you and Yunho usually say!" He bit his lip a bit at the reminder that yunjae couple fanservice was far more extensive than he and his boyfriend's.
Yunho came and sat on the otherside of Yoochun, handing him one of two cups of ramen he had in his hand.
"Here you go," Yunho said.
"Thanks!" Yoochun took the cup and set it on the table to begin eating.
"And Jaejoong, don't worry about what manager hyung will say. As Micky already pointed out it was already a really small thing and it was just a continuation of a gag from the last filming," Yunho explained.
"And why was it even a gag in the first place? You know what manager hyung said before we even started filming this damn show," Jaejoong bit back, stirring his noodles forcefully.
Yunho knitted his brows, "Jaejoong I don't even understand why you're getting so worked up. Even if Manger hyung does get angry what does that have to do with you? It's between Micky and I, and probably not even Micky because as the leader I'd take the brunt of it. It's completely irrelevant to you."
"It is NOT irrelvant to me," Jaejoong quipped, shooting dagger eyes at Yunho.
"And why not?"
"Because it just isn't, ok. Maybe I just don't want to hear manager hyung's bitching... or whatever. I don't know it's just annoying is all."
"Are you even listening to yourself right now?" Yunho asked.
"Woah Woah..." Kangin's voice cut in, from across the table. "Do either of you even hear yourselves right now?"
Yunho and Jaejoong looked over at Kangin and suddenly looked as if they realized where they were. Changmin was eating his noodles but looking at them the entire time and Yoochun was just sitting between them as they argued over his head, looking like a deer in headlights.
"Sorry," Yunho apologized, breaking his chopsticks to begin eating his food. "It must be the stress."
He started eating, and everyone else resumed eating too when suddenly Jaejoong noisily stood up.
"I've lost my appitite. I'll wait in the van." He stomped out of the breakroom, slamming the door, leaving his noodles behind.
"Some stress," Kangin said. "Should someone talk to him?"
Yunho sighed and rubbed his eyes, as leader it was definitely his duty but his relationship with Jaejoong made things like these quite difficult.
"Yeah, I'll see what's happening. It won't be a good practice if everyone's on edge," Yunho replied, setting down his chopsticks.
He was about to get up when he felt Yoochun's hand press into his thigh.
"I'll be back," he said, smiling at Yoochun and kissing his cheek, before getting up and going out the door.
Yoochun sighed and turned back to his noodles. That arguement was so strange, even he had to admit it. The bit between he and Yunho was so small during the filming and there was even a chance it'd be edited out since NoKy wasn't even popular. Manger hyung wouldn't care so there was no reason for Jaejoong to.
"That was weird... if I didn't know any better I'd say that looked like a lover's quarrel," Kangin said, breaking through Yoochun's thoughts.
Kangin reached for Jaejoong's neglected noodles and gestured to Changmin, "Want half?
Changmin nodded and Kangin began pouring some of Jaejoong's noodles into his cup.
"It's not a lover's quarrel, that's just how they are," Changmin explained. "Right, Micky hyung?"
Yoochun nodded, "Yeah. I thought everyone in your group knew that Yunho and I are together."
"We do," Kangin replied. "Did you want some of these noodles too?" he gestured the cup at Yoochun.
Yoochun shook his head, "I can steal some of Yunho's."
Kangin nodded and put the rest of Jaejoong's noodles in his own cup for himself.
"Anyway, we do know that you two are together. But we also all know what it was like before you two got together," Kangin went on. "I'm just saying with someone like Yunho you should keep both eyes open."
Yoochun slurpped up his noodles and asked, "Someone like Yunho?"
Now of course Yoochun didn't like anyone talking bad about his boyfriend, and there was a definite negative connotation to what Kangin had said, but Kangin also had a reputation to be a gossiper among the company and he knew everything about nearly everyone. Yoochun knew the Super Junior member had no intention of harming Yunho as the other was on good terms so he felt it wouldn't be of any harm to fish any information from him while he could.
"Do you mean when he was kind of seeing Heechul hyung?" Yoochun asked.
"There is no kind of. They were dating since before our group even debuted."
"Eh!? Really?" Changmin interjected, taking the thoughts right out of Yoochun's mouth. "But Jaejoong hyung and Yunho hyung used to flirt all of the time. I seriously thought they were going to get together!"
"What? You mean you didn't know?" Kangin asked, looking shocked between the two men at the table with him.
Both Changmin and Yoochun shook their heads.
"Wow, how did he even manage to keep that secret? They defintiely dated for about a year or so... maybe even more. Information like that doesn't go undiscovered in our dorm. Can I move in with you?"
Changmin laughed, eyes crinkling as he returned to his food but Yoochun had another question.
"So, when did Yunho and Heechul break up?"
"Maybe about a month or two before you and Yunho got together," shrugged Kangin. "Are you seriously saying you didn't know?"
Yoochun blinked rapidly in shock before looking at Changmin. Yoochun tried to run the chronology of events in his head. If Heechul and Yunho were an actual couple about a year before he and Yunho got together that would mean they started dating well into their debut. But if that were true it made no sense because Yoochun had been there the entire time and he never saw any lull in the flirting betweenn Yunho and Jaejoong. In fact the two had been getting closer and closer until around two months before Yunho got with him! If that was really the case then that mean...
Yoochun looked at Kangin seriously.
"Youngwoon... why... why did they break up?"
Now Kangin really looked at him weirdly, but Yoochun didn't care. Ok, so sure he was so infatuated with Yunho that he was willing to get with him without completely knowing the past but right now he had the opportunity to learn and he wasn't going to pass it up. He really hoped his hunch was wrong but as soon as Kangin spoke he saw how dreadfully right he was.
"Because Yunho was cheating on him with Jaejoong."

"Jaejoong!" Yunho called out after the smaller man as he followed him to where the van was parked in the lot.
Jaejoong ignored him and only increased his speed walking away.
"Jaejoong!" Yunho called again, increasing his pace to a half jog. "Jaejoong!"
He finally reached the other man and touched his shoulder.
"Get off of me," Jaejoong yelled, running off and finally reaching the van and crawling inside. Yunho crawled in after him, after all it was their group's van. There was no way to really keep him out.
"Jaejoong," Yunho tried again.
"Oh, so now you chase after me, huh?" Jaejoong asked.
"What?" Yunho's brows knitted in confusion. "Jaejoong you can't go into practice with that attitude. What's wrong?"
"Figures this is about work," Jaejoong muttered, crossing his arms and looking down.
"Jaejoong, what's really wrong? This really can't be about the fanservice with Yoochun is it?"
"Yeah, and why can't it be about the damn fanservice?" Jaejoong snapped, looking up at Yunho with angry eyes. "Do you know how it makes me feel to see you being lovey dovey with him all of the time?"
"You act like it's easy for him to watch us during shows like that," Yunho replied.
Jaejoong shook his head, "Don't even compare it. Because even then on some level he understands it's just fanservice but when you two do it it isn't fanservice. It's real!"
"Jae..."
"No, listen to me! Every single day I have to keep smiling in that house because of you two. I have to pretend it doesn't tear me apart to know that despite how much time you spend with me that it's not me that you belong to. That at the end of the day you share a room with Yoochun. That Yoochun occupies a place I never even had the privlege to hold despite all of the shit we've been through! Why isn't it me that you hold in the break room? Why isn't it me that you play footsie with during meetings? Why isn't it me that you whisper sweet things to at night?"
Jaejoong sighed and shut his eyes to the tears that were threatening to fall once again. When the others joined them he didn't want them to think anything was wrong. It was funny that he always had to regress to that role.
"Yunho," Jaejoong opened his eyes and looked at Yunho who was staring at him with concern. "I don't want to tell Yoochun. I don't because I love Yoochun. I love him so much. He's my soulmate. But Yunho... Yunho... I can't do it anymore. I thought if I waited patiently you'd break up with him, or that it'd end naturally but it hasn't and here I am being the pathetic other man again. I don't want to live like this. I don't want to break Yoochun's heart but I can't live like this."
"If you tell Yoochun do you think that will break us apart?" Yunho asked. "And if it did do you think I'd get with you? What do you want out of that?"
"I want you? That's all I want is you! I don't want to break his heart," Jaejoong said.
"Jaejoong, I don't have any intention to break up with Yoochun. I never did. When I got with Yoochun I vowed that I would treat him better than I ever did you or Heechul."
"But look where you are now."
"Yes, I failed but that doesn't mean the relationship failed. I still have a chance to make things right with him and that means ending things with you, Jaejoong."
Jaejoong laughed bitterly, "You think things can just be made right by ending things with me just like that? Yunho it's been a year. You've been cheating on him for an entire year. That's a year of betrayal that you cannot wish away. Regardless of whether you stop or not this is going to come out somehow and Yoochun may not like it."
"Are you saying he'd leave me if he found out?" Yunho asked.
"Yunho... you're a good man. You really are. But you are so fucked up and flawed when it comes to this. You've done terrible things. I've done something terrible. Do you think we deserve his forgiveness?"
"And you're content with that?" Yunho asked. "With gaining me in that way?"
Jaejoong said nothing and Yunho let out a sigh.
"Don't tell him, Jaejoong... don't tell him. Please."
Jaejoong twisted his fingers together and nodded, closing his eyes and letting out a deep breath.
"I won't..."

AN - TONE was great. I saw JYJ's paw prints at kyocera dome and Changmin looks amazing in real life ;~; I already miss them. Yunho's wrecking my bias list. Hahah But I bought really big awesome posters of 2U so yay! my otp shall be on my wall and everything is beautiful.
