Yeah, I have this problem. I can get some good thinking done in bed, except I'm trying to sleep.

That only happens to me when I've had coffee during the day. My brain goes, "I'm still stimulated, what's your problem?!"
So the last time this happened, instead of sleeping, I played hours of System Shock 2. :D
